Kedarkantha Trek Package Itinerary (6 Days / 5 Nights)

Day 1: Dehradun to Sankri (190 km, 7–8 hrs drive)

Drive on the Yamuna and Tons rivers, through pine groves and mountain hamlets. Overnight at Sankri.

Day 2: Sankri to Juda ka Talab (4 km trek, 4 hrs)

A moderate walk through pine forests brings us to the stunning frozen lake Juda Ka Talab, a major attraction of the trek. Camp overnight.

Day 3: Juda Ka Talab to Kedarkantha Base Camp (3 km trek, 3 hrs)

Trekking through oak and pine trees with stunning views. Camping at the base, hot food and acclimatizing for summit day.

Day 4: Base Camp to Kedarkantha Summit (12,500 ft) & back to Base (6 km, 6–7 hrs)

Begin early morning to enjoy a stunning sunrise from the summit. Have 360-degree Himalayan views prior to descending back to base camp.

Day 5: Base Camp to Sankri (6 km trek)

Descend via meadows and forests, back to Sankri village. Overnight in guesthouse/homestay.

Day 6: Sankri to Dehradun (Drive back)

Drive back to Dehradun with memories of a lifetime of Kedarkantha trek.


Best Time for Kedarkantha Trek

The ideal time is December to April, when snow covers the trail and the scenery is enchanting. It's rated as the finest winter snow trek in Uttarakhand.
